Salted Caramel Swirl Pretzel Crunch Milkshakes

I have the cutest nephew in the entire world, no the entire history of nephews!

Maybe I don’t have a lot of room to talk because I’ve only been an aunt for a few months, and maybe every auntie feels this way. It’s just, I somehow know deep down that there is no possible way another baby could be as cute but I guess I am a bit bias.

He is such an angel, in fact, that we have a running joke about my sister and her husband’s next baby because they have it too easy with their first. You know how everything in life finds a balance eventually?

Well, the joke is that in order for that to happen in this case, their next baby is going to have to be really terrible because of Ryder’s perfection. This is all in jest of course, except for the part about him being perfect, but he is like the happiest baby ever. He spends the majority of the time either laughing, smiling, or baby talking. The rest of the time he is simply very serious or quiet.

The other day a stranger held him and I think it scared him to be in unfamiliar arms so he started to cry like a normal baby does all the time, and I’m not even kidding, I don’t think I’ve ever heard him make that noise. I didn’t even know he knew how because when he’s upset about something he’ll usually just grunt or do this little almost-yell until whatever is wrong gets fixed and then he’s happy again.

I told you I’m bias, but okay, enough bragging on Ryder (even though I could do it all day long!).

So, this milkshake. On a health scale of 1 to 10, with 1 being something really healthy and 10 being something really unhealthy, where would you say this milkshake weighs in? Personally, I’m not really sure. Seriously, you lose your perspective on these things when you live with 12-foot teenage boys whose ideal breakfast is a dozen chocolate chip cookies and a gallon of milk. Okay, that may be a slight exaggeration, but not by much.

I’d have to say it’s about a 7 or 7 1/2 maybe. Fine, maybe if we’re being honest it’s more like an 11 but you don’t have to drink it all by yourself. You can make a double and share it with your besties to split the guilt, how about that? I think there are definitely occasions where a splurge is necessary and part-splurges with friends are even better. Oh, and I used my favorite no corn syrup caramel and chocolate sauce recipes for this! So just do it!
