Stir water, sugar, and yeast together until yeast is dissolved and allow to sit for about 5 minutes. Pour into a large mixing bowl and whisk in oil until combined. Add flour and mix until dough comes together. Turn out onto lightly floured surface and knead for a few minutes, adding a little more flour until the dough doesn't stick to your hands. It should spring back when you press your thumb into it. Place in oiled bowl and cover bowl with plastic or a damp towel, then place in warm place to rise until doubled in size.
P.S. If you feel like living in the edge, these are amazing dipped in vanilla frosting!.....just sayin'
