Travel Diary: Oahu Hawaii (Video)
If a picture is worth a thousand words than a video must be worth a million. Of course, this won’t even begin to cover the feelings and experiences of actually being there but it’s amazing that we even have the ability to share this much in the age we live in. There’s something really magical about the native culture of Hawaii. They have a reverence for things we can’t see or touch that I find so beautiful. The language itself speaks to this. On the islands “Aloha” doesn’t just mean hello and goodbye, it’s a way to express Love, Peace, and Compassion. To live with Aloha is to be putting out a spirit…

Disneyland fun at Halloween Time!
Hey Guys! I’m finally home from traveling (for now, lol) I just had the best time in California with my family during the Halloween season. I’m not the biggest fan of Halloween tbh but all of the decor and events going on in the Disney Parks for the season were actually pretty cool. This vid is kind of a mesh of all the days of our trip because I wanted to share some of the highlights with you! (p.s. If you’re wondering why my outfits change it’s because we spent 2 days at each of the parks. 😉 )

Beauty in Brokenness: What an Injury Taught Me (Thursday Thoughts)
I was flat on my back struggling to remember how to make my lungs, that seemed to have temporarily gone on vacation, take in the air my mind was desperately in need of. The first thing I remember thinking was “What just happened?” because the it all happened so fast. Immediately after that when my eyes focused on the figures standing above me I registered the blond Gabriel and his group of athletic-looking friends behind him standing by their car that was clearly geared up for a day of trail riding. Being a single girl my thoughts (obviously) turned straight to wondering why these things only seem to happen to me…

Snapshot Sundays + Saying Goodbye to January
And just like that January is quickly coming to its end and February is coming up. So far this year has already had its ups and downs. On the up side of things I’ve been loving being back in the States and living near so much convenience. I’ve been driving more than ever and, as a food blogger, to have so many options for grocery shopping and prop shopping is really nice, I have to admit. Although, doing so much more grocery shopping and adulting has been a bit hilarious because I’m like “Dude, groceries are freaking expensive!” I also did some skiing, I’m getting better at yoga, the gym is basically becoming my…

Thursday Things
It’s Thursday again you guys and I’m continuing this little series of sharing just random little things from my life. I’ve been really liking these. So here are today’s things I’m loving this most adorable ever gift from my big sister and her hubby. Funny story, when I opened it at Christmas everyone was asking if I knew what it was and, me thinking they were asking if I knew what it was supposed to look like, I said “Of course, it’s a camera lens.” Everyone thought that I thought it was a real lens rather than a thermos and got worried I’d be disappointed. These kind of moments are always hilarious.…

Thursday Thoughts: On Comparison + Being Individual
“When you’re 20 you care what everyone thinks, when you’re 40 you stop caring what everyone thinks, when you’re 60 you realize no one was ever thinking about you in the first place. You have enemies? Good. That means you’ve stood up for something, sometime in your life.” -Winston Churchill Happy Thursday my friends. I know this isn’t my typical kind of post but if there’s anything I realized about myself while taking some time away from posting regularly, for many reasons and most of them out of my control, it’s that I want to share more and connect more with you guys. If you’re here for recipes that’s great also. You…

My Top 10 Packing Tips For Europe in the Fall
Hey Guys! Today I thought I’d share something a little different than my typical recipe of the day. As you know, I’m getting ready to travel to Europe this weekend (depending on when you read this post) and I thought you guys might be interested in some of my packing tips. You know what? Even though I’ve traveled a lot this year it’s been a few months now and I’ve realized I’m pretty rusty at packing.
