Instead of shelling out the cash for a bunch of protein bars for your week, try making a more whole-food version based on some really cheap staples.

Ingredients
1can chickpeas
2cupoats
1/4cuphemp hearts
1teaspoonbaking powder
1teaspoonvanilla
3/4cupcoconut sugar
1/2cuppowdered peanut butter
1large banana
1teaspooncinnamon
1/2cupmini dairy-free semisweet chocolate chip
Instructions
In a blender or food processor, blend the banana, vanilla, and chickpeas until smooth. scrape the mixture into a mixing bowl and stir in the baking powder, powdered peanut butter, cinnamon, and hemp hearts. Add in the oats and chocolate and stir until combined.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (180C) and line an 8x8 inch baking pan with parchment. Pour the mixture into the pan and spread evenly with a spatula. Bake them for 35 - 45 minutes (depending on your oven) until the edges start to turn golden.
Cool the bars completely and then cut into 8 equal-ish bars and you've got some great on-the-go snacks. Store extras in an air-tight container in the fridge.
