Things I Bought for My Apartment Balcony
My apartment balcony measures about 5 feet by 7 feet. A VERY small space to decorate for sure. In the video above I show how I not only took a bland space and made it beautiful, I show how I hid my ugly closet storage door behind everything.
A huge must have is a privacy screen if you have a slatted guard rail like mine. I also hung some faux ivy to make it feel more natural. If you have a green thumb and more sunlight where you live then real plants would be gorgeous. I just am not the greatest of plant moms so I stick with not murdering poor innocent plants.

Now for some more styles of balcony decor. These budget-friendly suggestions will add flair and functionality to your outdoor haven, making it a true extension of your living space.
Let’s explore more affordable concepts that will turn your small apartment balcony into a stylish retreat without costing a fortune.
Simple Organic
Embrace the essence of nature with a modern organic patio that seamlessly blends contemporary design with the beauty of the outdoors. Incorporate sleek, minimalist furniture crafted from sustainable materials like bamboo or recycled metals to create a clean and eco-friendly aesthetic.
Create an intimate atmosphere with strategically placed ambient lighting, featuring designer chandeliers or bespoke lanterns that cast a warm glow over the space. Hanging globe lights and adding some soft textures like a rug and pillows will help soften the space and make it feel comfortable.
Even if you’re not in college anymore, you know you still love that kitchy schoolgirl vibe. Grab some butterfly ornaments, hang some wall planters, and string fairy lights everywhere. A corner bench is a great way to make a small space feel a bit more usable. Oh, and don’t forget the poufs!
Sometimes less is more. A patio with simply a comfy chair and an ample amount of greenery is a great way to enjoy your small outdoor patio. Add some textiles and some lights and enjoy your Summer evenings with a cocktail or a good book.
