Maple Leaf Cream Filled Sandwich Cookies
The leaves have gone from just barely hinting at color to covering the ground in nature’s confetti. Of course, Fall wouldn’t be complete without baking some treats and cookies are always a crowd favorite. So who else loves those Maple leaf cookies from Trader Joe’s? If you’ve never been to TJ’s then you may not know what I’m talking about. These cookies are a classic and have always been a favorite of my mom’s. Now, they’re not exactly health food, obviously, but balance is a good practice and this time of year just needs occasional treats. Besides, a sweet cookie to go with a warm mug of afternoon tea or…

Oaty Pumpkin Pancakes + Maple Nut Butter Spread
I’ve been really loving oats lately. During the Summer I felt like I could eat allllllll the fruit but the moment the weather shifted all I’ve wanted are warm foods. Now plain old oats can seem really boring to some people, and that’s okay. However, if you want to get the best of both worlds by eating your healthy oats and doing it in a way you love, make oatmeal pancakes! OOoooh, and add pumpkin and spice and everything nice! (Did I take that too far? yeah probably.) Not only do these have all the benefits of whole grains but they’ve also got some sneaky fruits and veggies from the…

Crunchy Maple Cinnamon Pecan Cereal
It’s another cereal recipe. What, what! You’re probably thinking, why would you make cereal when you can just go out and buy it? Well my friend I’m so glad you asked. I am so glad you asked. Okay, I don’t know about you, but I have this major love for cereals and granola. In fact, it’s very nearly an addiction. If it’s crispy, toasty, sweet and flavorful I’m hooked. Oh, and if you add a hint of salty to the equation I’m a goner. Do you think there’s a support group for this? CAD (cereal addicts anonymous) maybe? I’m telling you, it’s dangerous for me to have too much…

Spring Spinach & Couscous Salad with Maple Mustard Dressing
You wanna know something? The first line of writing a blog post is almost always the hardest part, don’t know why, but now that I took the cheater route for today’s intro line I can relax and tell you about this salad. #LazyGirl Okay, so when my week gets busy I tend to really gravitate towards quicker and easier stuff. I mean, I think we all do that right? For me, salads are a big go-to because you can literally just put everything into a bowl and mix it up, done. Oh my goodness, I sound so lazy today. Hey, what can I say, it’s hump day. So anyway, salads,…

Pumpkin Bread & Maple Cream Pudding Trifles
I’ve got something delicious to share with you…….but it’s only a trifle! Hehe, sorry for the pun intended, I couldn’t resist. Alright, correct me if I’m wrong, but I feel like the passing of October and Halloween mark the point in the year at which it’s completely acceptable to switch on all of our holiday gears. Don’t you agree? If you don’t it’s probably still best to just nod and pretend that you do because I don’t think I’ll be able to contain my excitement either way. I guess you could say that I’m just a lot more fun this time of the year because it’s my absolute favorite! I…

Healthy Maple Peanut Butter Pumpkin Snack Doughnuts
Who loves a good (healthy) snack that comes in a doughnut form??? These doughnuts are so named because they are completely acceptable (depending on who’s opinion you go by) to have as a balanced snack or for breakfast with your morning coffee. I made them with oats that I processed into flour so theyβre gluten free and they are also dairy free, refined sugar free, fairly low in fat, and vegan. Can I get a pat on the back for this? Yay, for healthy doughnuts that you can have without guilt! Iβve been trying to keep those of you with diet restrictions in mind amidst all of my holiday excitement.…

Homemade Maple Bar Doughnuts (Vegan)
You’re going to need some coffee to go with this post…. I need some coffee too, but not just because of these maple bars. You see, my computer is still trying to ruin my life by going as slow as it can. I happen to be extra busy so this is driving me crazy. It’s gotten to the point that I have to restart everyday and that means it closes all of my windows and I keep forgetting to do things. I’m going to reset the factory settings on it but the problem with that is it’s a catch-22 situation. I need to save things on it first but I’m…
