Cinnamon Apple Graham Cracker Crumb Bars (Vegan)
And it appears the weekend’s over, so um………I think we need something sweet to “celebrate”, right? HEY, how do you feel about apples and cinnamon stuffed inside cookie bars???? But for reals, what do you think? I have all types in my gang when it comes to apple desserts; the ones that like anything and everything, the ones that only like cooked apples but hate cinnamon, the ones that claim to be allergic to all fruits, those that only like raw apples, and those that refuse to have an opinion at all. With so many people living here in casa craziness it’s becoming easier and easier to get rid of all my extras…

Harvest Time Apple & Pumpkin Chili (Vegan+GF)
Please tell me you’re week needs some delicious comfort right about now because, if so, this is exactly what you need! How do you feel about chili? To me it always seems like chili is one of those meals that doesn’t get appreciated enough. I don’t get it, it’s so homey and chock full of flavors, oh, and you can load it with so many good things like guacamole and eat it with cornbread, YUM!. Plus, it’s versatile and you can do so many things with it (Hello chili-cheese fries!), what’s not to love? I have to tell you, even within my own family chili isn’t the most popular. I mean, everyone will…

Glazed Cinnamon Apple Fritters (Vegan+GF)
Have you ever tried to imagine the world without doughnuts? I’ll tell ya, it’s a very lonely and depressing reality. On the other hand, when there is cinnamon and apples involved in said doughnuts it’s pretty much heaven on earth. Me and apples are kind of having a moment right now. Yep, I live in an area that happens to grow my favorite apples on the planet, pink ladies! Yay-yuh! It’s kind of ironic too, because we often buy Chilean apples from Costco here in the States, and I never would have imagined that I’d have lived there for over 4 years. Actually, a funny story that gets repeated in my family…

Spiced Cranberry Apple Pie
How did it get this late in the year guys? I don’t know, but I’m guessing those of you celebrating a holiday tomorrow and probably even many of you that aren’t, are busy doing lots of baking now that the holiday season is in full swing. This year has been quite a whirlwind for me but I’m really enjoying that things seem to be settling down a little bit for the end of it. I don’t typically bake that many pies throughout the year but I think there’s some unspoken law that says when the holidays roll around at least one or two pies are mandatory. Oh, and also when planning the dessert…

Layered Cinnamon Caramel Apple Upside Down Cake (Vegan)
Happy weekend again! I’ve broken into some more really festive flavors today and I’m so excited to share this recipe with you. If anything says “Hello Autumn!” better than apples, caramel, and cinnamon all together in one amazing package then I’d love to know what it is because I can’t imagine. I’ve had a lot going on this last week, actually it’s been more like this whole last month. I’ve been telling you guys some of the stuff going on in my behind-the-scenes life so I don’t want to repeat, but have I mentioned how this is the time of year that our little lakeside town in Patagonia starts to come alive with…

Harvest Time Apple Streusel Swirl Bread (Vegan)
Are you in the mood for some warm, yeasty bread, sweet apples, cinnamon spice, and plenty of crumbly streusel! I don’t think there will ever be any question whether or not this is one of the best flavor combinations known to man. Ah, it’s so good! By now you’re probably starting to catch on to the fact that I like to recreate my family’s favorite foods. Things that we don’t have access to in Chile. I enjoy the challenge. This is one of my recent attempts to copy a classic. One of my sisters used to have this slight obsession with apple bread and she’s been missing it a lot since moving…

Cinnamon Glazed Harvest Apple Bread (Vegan)
Nothing smells better than the smell of cinnamon wafting through the house on a chilly autumn day, don’t you think? One of my favorite fall events when I was a kid in Tennessee was this apple farm that we would visit every year. They sold apple cider and all kinds of other apple products and of course all of their apples. Then they went out of business and I was really sad. It was too bad, I loved that place. Then there is the Apple Barn in so many of the malls across the States. If you’ve never been there then you’ve missed out. When you walk by their doors you have to…
