Walnut Chocolate Chunk Banana Bread (V+GF)+ Video
Sup, my friends? So I’ve gotta say, after a few weeks of traveling and being on the go so much it’s been really strange to try to get back to sharing recipes again. It’s kind of hard to explain but, regardless, I’m really happy to be back in the kitchen. I’ve been really in the mood for simple classics recently. I’ve also been really trying to come up with more balanced treats to share because I know personally I always feel better when I’m eating something that’s both nutritious AND delicious and I’m guessing you do too. On another note, I’ve been messing around with video a lot more since going to…

Acai Mango Detox Smoothie Bowls
Don’t you hate it when you mean to order the blue spirulina and you accidentally get the green one? Alright, so that’s probably just me. I could think of a whole list of other scenarios that would only happen to me because I’m the strange food blogger girl. For example, sometimes I get the funniest looks when I’m checking out at the grocery store for my random purchases. I mean, I’m sure we all have our moments of needing to buy something unusual along with our weekly grocery run but for me it’s just about every time and way more than once a week. I also have earned some puzzled glances when shopping…

Peanut Butter & Banana Oatmeal
Oh, sweet Sunday, thank you for being here again. Time for some planning and resetting for the new week and just chilling. I hope you’re off to a pleasant day and getting caught up as well. This past weekend was fairly busy for me because we did some entertaining for me which go me in the kitchen more than what’s been usual recently. Lots and lots of cooking (and dishes) but I must say I enjoyed it all because it’s been a while since I’ve cooked for so many and it used to be a normal part of my week. Here’s the recipe for this really easy pb banana oatmeal. Breakfast is…

Peanut Butter Banana Protein Pancakes
Hey guys, anyone want pancakes for breakfast? Or lunch, or dinner, or even (my favorite) pancakes for dessert! I’m the type of person who doesn’t discriminate foods based on what mealtime category they fall into. I’ll mix and match what I like and eat any kind of food anytime of day. In fact, as I’m typing out this post I’m thinking about how good veggies sound for breakfast so I’ll probably go for something savory this morning. But pancakes, now pancakes are definitely a great example of a food that works well anytime of the day. Also, I know I know I’ve emphasized my peanut butter affair over and over, but…

Chunky Monkey Caramelized Banana Split Sundaes (Vegan+GF)
I’ve never made banana splits before you guys, isn’t that ridiculous? We were watching a movie recently and, I don’t even remember which one it was now, but there was a scene in an old-fashioned diner. You know, classic Americana, 1950’s, juke boxes, poodle skirts…. you get the picture. In the scene they brought out this big and beautiful banana split and none of us could help wanting to dive into the screen at that point. I realized immediately that a banana split was lacking in my repertoire of recipes and I knew that I had to fix this major problem as soon as possible. I didn’t want to make just any banana splits…

White Chocolate Chai Spiced Banana Bread (Vegan)
I wish there was a way to send and share smells through the internet, don’t you? Well, since unfortunately there isn’t you’ll just have to do your best to imagine the smell of a banana bread filled with all the goodness of chai spices! Can you imagine it? Hey, or better yet, you’ll just have to go make it right now! Yeah, okay that’s definitely the best plan, but just a sec…… Before I talk more about the recipe and how easy it is I should probably have a moment of catch up for any of you following along, because even though I just shared a recipe on Wednesday, I actually haven’t written…

Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Soft Serve Nice Cream [Raw, Vegan, Gluten Free]
Welcome back to weekday life guys, how went your weekends? I’ve gotta tell you, I’m SO excited about this recipe today! Good news, this one is genuinely healthy enough that you could feel good eating it for breakfast. That’s right, ice cream that the kiddos will love and won’t know is actually healthy! Oh, oh, and even better news! It’s only got 5 ingredients!!! Well okay, so there are some nuance ones that are optional but the point is that if you only use the base 5 it would still be amazing and it’s so easy to make. You may find it hard to believe that it can be so good once I tell…
