    Chocolate Chili Avocado Truffles

    April 16, 2018 /

Another week starts and I think that calls for some chocolate…… How was your weekend? Mine was pretty good. I took my two younger brothers and my cousin with me to see A Quiet Place at the theater and it was really good. If you like suspenseful movies I’d definitely recommend it. The movie literally has about 6 actors in the entire thing but the acting was incredible, especially from the kids. That was Saturday, then I spent Sunday almost entirely in the kitchen working on recipes and cooking, oh and mountains and mountains of dishes to wash (bet you guys don’t think about all the dishes behind a food blog). Seriously you…

So tell me, how do you feel about spicy food? Because, well, this stuff is packing some serious heat…. Personally, I have to be in the mood for spicy food to really enjoy it. To me it seems like there are different types of spice and I like some more than others. For example, I love things like horseradish and wasabi with their powerful punch that’s pretty much guaranteed to clear your sinuses in an oddly pleasant burn. Then there are the spicy foods that numb your taste buds with blazing fire (I’m sorry, was this food seasoned with molten lava!!!). I’m not sure if that makes sense or not but I’m just going…

Spiced Chocolate Chili Java Chip Fudge Cookies (Vegan)

    April 22, 2016 /

And here we are on another Friday and if you’re anything like me you’re wondering what happened to your week, or planning what to do over the weekend…… and possibly craving some major amounts of chocolate. Fear not, I’ve got that part covered! I’m really excited to tell you about these deep dark chocolate cookies that I’m sharing today! They are not only filled with the wonderful magic of spice and chocolate together, but I also made some homemade java chips which are basically a mocha version of chocolate chips and they are really simple. The recipe makes more java chips than you’ll use for one batch of these but I figured you…

Did you all have a really great weekend? I hope so, I had one of the best ever! This was my first Christmas as an aunty and also my last one as a teenager (omg, that’s kinda sad ;( ). My nephew was so cute opening his first presents ever, absolutely adorable and hilarious at the same time. Anyone have plans for New Year’s? Is it just me or is it a very anti-climatic holiday after the hype of Christmas? I’ve always thought so. We don’t have any traditions or anything special that we do as a family. Most years we just spend the weekend trying to cram in replays of our favorite…

The Green Samurai – Kiwi, Lime, Wasabi, & Ginger Smoothie (Vegan+GF)

    July 16, 2015 /

It’s been too long since the last time I shared a smoothie recipe with you guys, don’t you think? So,there are only a few days left until Sunday now, yikes! If you’re late to the party and have no clue what I’m talking about, there’s a huge group of people, like at least 50, coming to our house and I’m sort of the kitchen person so that means I’ll be really busy all weekend. I can’t wait to meet them all, though. I don’t talk to many English speaking people these days and my Spanish isn’t what it should be so it will be refreshing. For that reason I’m all about easy stuff right…
