Chipotle Inspired Sofritas Burrito Bowls (Vegan+GF)

    January 8, 2019 /

I’m feeling some serious taco Tuesday vibes today, what do you think? Wow, it feels like it’s been ages since I’ve added a fresh recipe to the blog. Oh yeah, it has! This whole deal with moving a website has been way more than I bargained for if I’m being honest. I’m happy to say that I’m nearly done sorting everything out but I was just dying to share a recipe today. I mean, I haven’t added a new one all year! These bowls are a nod to the popular restaurant chain’s menu item, sofritas. I’d never actually tried this, much less made it, until this past Summer. My cousin came to visit…

The Most Random First Vlog Ever + An Unboxing

    June 16, 2018 /

I’ve finally jumped into the world of vlogging (or should I say “attempted” to jump in.) As said in the title, it’s a very random vlog but it’s a first and I think that gives me a little slack. In the video I share about my weekend of biking and kayaking with my sister Lela. Then near the end I’ve done an unboxing of the beautiful Mene gold pendant that I recieved.

Hey guys, I’m so happy to say the sun has finally been shining all weekend! What about you, has it been a good Spring so far? So more than one of my family members has made fun of me for my extended recipe titles that I can never seem to shorten. But honestly, sometimes I can’t imagine how I could describe a certain recipe in less than so many words. I mean, I’m always trying new ingredients and different versions of recipes so there has to be some way to differentiate and also to let you know more about what’s in a recipe. It’s alright, I don’t mind being made fun of a…

Travel Diary California: La Jolla Cove & Seaport Village

    February 21, 2018 /

So I finally had a chance to sort through some more of the photos from my travels to share. My sister and I had such a great time, I probably already said that a bunch of times, but it’s true. We make great travel companions for each other because when it comes to this type of thing we have a lot of similarities in our personalities so we always have fun together. Wow, we’ve done some crazy things, the two of us. Of course, some of the similarities kind of end there because looks wise we are very different I think. Yeah, she wakes up and her hair just looks naturally like a…

    Thursday Things

    January 25, 2018 /

It’s Thursday again you guys and I’m continuing this little series of sharing just random little things from my life. I’ve been really liking these. So here are today’s things I’m loving this most adorable ever gift from my big sister and her hubby. Funny story, when I opened it at Christmas everyone was asking if I knew what it was and, me thinking they were asking if I knew what it was supposed to look like, I said “Of course, it’s a camera lens.” Everyone thought that I thought it was a real lens rather than a thermos and got worried I’d be disappointed. These kind of moments are always hilarious.…

Snapshot Sunday + Links I Love

    January 14, 2018 /

So it’s Sunday again. I don’t know about you but Sundays are always my favorite day for sleeping late, sipping coffee, enjoying a yummy breakfast (in this case pancakes!), and staying in something comfy all day long. In fact, my work uniform of choice on Sundays, and any other day I can get away with it, is typically fluffy pajama pants and soft t-shirts. Who’s with me? As for the pancakes, I’ve shared lots of recipes here on the blog for pancakes but these happen to be my PB+Banana Protein Pancakes topped with berries (because they are, as you all know, my obsession in life!)., and some whipped cream! I’m wishing you the brightest…

New House! -> A Peak into My New Kitchen

    August 6, 2017 /

Happy Sunday, my friends! No recipe today, just photos. I hope you’re all having a great weekend so far. As I promised a few posts ago I’m sharing some pictures of the new house where I’ll be blogging from for a while, specifically the kitchen because that’s obviously where I’ll be spending a lot of my time. I’m not gonna lie, stocking a virtually empty kitchen with brand new things is kinda fun. I haven’t even had the chance to do much cooking yet ant try using them all, but I know that will change as soon as we get more settled. I haven’t cooked in a kitchen like this, probably ever, as…
