Almond Nog Vanilla Bean Streusel Muffins (Vegan)
Hey again! How did your weekend go? I hope it was merry, bright, and filled with fresh memories that you’ll want to keep forever! I know that for a small few of you (the scrooges and grinches of the world) today might feel like a relief, but the rest of us this is sort of the saddest day of the year. Then add on top of that the fact that it’s also Monday again and I just think we all could use a muffin this morning, agreed? Okay, I should probably take back my accusation about you being a grinch if your relieved because I’m honestly feeling just a little bit of that now that…

Cream Cheese Cut-Out Sugar Cookies
So tell me, how was your weekend? I hope it was the best, first weekend of December ever!!! And now I say it’s only fitting to make this the best, first Monday of December by baking up a storm of Christmas cookies. You with me???? Okay, so this past week I was in the mood to decorate some Christmas cookies but I realized I don’t have a basic cut-out sugar cookie recipe on the blog and I was like “What!?!?” That’s unacceptable in my book, what an outrage. Of course, I think everyone has plenty of the very basic types of recipes for them so I thought I’d do a little variation and…

White Chocolate Chai Spiced Banana Bread (Vegan)
I wish there was a way to send and share smells through the internet, don’t you? Well, since unfortunately there isn’t you’ll just have to do your best to imagine the smell of a banana bread filled with all the goodness of chai spices! Can you imagine it? Hey, or better yet, you’ll just have to go make it right now! Yeah, okay that’s definitely the best plan, but just a sec…… Before I talk more about the recipe and how easy it is I should probably have a moment of catch up for any of you following along, because even though I just shared a recipe on Wednesday, I actually haven’t written…

Cinnamon Raisin Swirl Soft Pretzels (Vegan)
Hey guys, I was wondering if you were up for another major comfort food item, because I have to tell you, they’re my favorite things to share! On a sidenote; Remember me mentioning our Spanish teacher friend, well he’s getting here later today and we are all getting ready to make him feel as at home as we can while he’s staying with us. So I’ve been genuinely trying to focus on some Spanish skills recently but I kind of feel like I’m never going to get it down…..ever…..in a million and 12 years…….. I’m excited though, because Diego is going to be here now and he’s going to help me learn it,…

Chocolate Hazelnut Scones with “Nutella” Glaze (Vegan)
How about something a little bit, but not too sweet today? That’s one of the things I like most about scones, they’re really good at toeing that line between breakfast items and dessert. Come to think of it, that’s probably why you don’t feel quite so guilty enjoying them with your morning coffee and yet they also make a marvelous dessert when the occasion calls for them. I feel like I’ve said this before, but I’ve always felt like scones have sort of a bad rep for being dry and tasteless. At least, that’s how it seems to be in my circles. But you know what, I also feel like they don’t have to be.…

Kiwi Mango Chia Pudding Parfaits + Stovetop Cashew Granola (Vegan + GF)
I’ve discovered that it’s pretty hard to mess up any recipe revolving around fruit and granola. In the past I’ve made chia pudding a few times but, moment of complete honesty here, the texture isn’t for everyone. Hey, but I’ve got good news if you feel the same way about it, you can blend it up like magic into a super creamy smooth pudding that you’d never guess was dairy free! When I did this I got two thumbs up from everyone, so to blend or not to blend is totally up to you. All right, the texture of chia pudding may or may not be your thing, but Stovetop granola you guys,…
